SABRANG 2021

A marvelous opportunity for kids and adults to showcase their talens at this exhilarating online dance competition conducted by Saanwee Performing Arts. This is a platform to celebrate the diversity of India with Indian dance forms, be it classical, folk or cinematic.  

 

They say — every adversity, contains within it the seeds of opportunity and growth. 2020 has been one such year for the entire humanity. Sabrang 2021 is step towards embracing change and creating fantastic opportunities to connect like never before and celebrate through art and culture.

Categories & ENTRY FEE 

1. Bollywood / Cinematic Dance

    (Solo : 2-3 minute routine)

2. Indian Classical Dance

    (Solo: 2-5minute routine)

Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Sattriya, Mohiniattam, Kathakali, Manipuri

3. Sloka Recitation & Dance

    (Solo: 2-3 slokas)

Entry Fee : $15

per participant per category

(Overseas particiapants from India

may pay Rs.550 per entry.)

An individual may participate in one or both categories : Bollywood &/or Indian Classical Dance.

Registrations close on April 10th

Video submissions on/before April 17th

Tots : 4yrs to under 7yrs

Junior 1: 7yrs to under 10yrs

Junior 2: 10yrs to under 16yrs

Adult 1: 16yrs to under 25yrs

Adult 2: 25yrs to under 40

PRIZES

Trophies, medals and certificates will be awarded to the top 5 ranks in each category for each age and skill level  division.

 

All participants will receive a participation certificate

Teams participating through dance schools will receive a keepsake Event Souvenir .

 

All prizes will be sent by post to the mailing address provided during registration.  

RULES

  • Registrations will close on April 10th.

  • All video links must be submitted on or before April 17th, 2021. (Video Link submission process will be emailed to all registered participants)

  • All entries should be uneditd solo performances within the given time limits only.

  • Sloka Recitation & Dance is open for all age groups. You can choose 2-3 slokas and demonstrate dance movements while reciting it.

  • All performances are expected in full costume. Presentation will affect overall scores.

  • Judges decision will be final.

  • All payments made will be non-refundable and non-transferrable.
